Do You Use Subcontractors During A Remodel Or Renovation?

Do you use subcontractors? Absolutely.

This day in age the average production home from a cookie cutter neighborhood uses an around 24 subs to complete it.

Sure there is some cross over between the trades but you can't possibly be proficient at everything.

For example we understand how to do roofing but it is cheaper, faster, and easier to have someone else do it. Not to mention those companies do it everyday and make it look easy.

That sounds great and all but is there a down side to using Subcontractors during a remodel or renovation?

Absolutely there are pluses and minuses to everything. The biggest hurdle is scheduling to make it so everyone is lined up. Besides that communication with more people gets more complicated

To be transparent we try to keep as much inhouse with our own team as it makes sense but there are still those trades and skill sets that we always subcontract out. I've personally broken or damaged enough shower glass doors to know when it was time to call in the specialists to do it right the first time.
